Your Global Concern
At The Crossing, we believe God has a heart for the whole world. Borders, ethnic groups and cultures mean much more to us than they do to Him. God sees people. He loves us all and wants us all to know how much we matter to Him. More than anything, He wants all people everywhere to come to terms with what great lengths he has gone to demonstrate how much He loves & cares. He commissioned us to GO into all the world, but we get caught in our bubbles of comfort and don’t want to cross borders and reach out for those who are “different” than us, yet that is exactly how God demonstrated His love for us.
As a church, we are intentionally developing partnerships in Mexico, El Salvador, Uganda, India and Vietnam to do just that. We want to provide was for people in our church to make a difference in parts of the world that has different challenges physically than we do but the same challenges spiritually. We are dealing with issues such as access to clean drinking water, prevention of human trafficking, education, healthcare, orphan care, and church planting.
We understand that individuals in our church have other “Global Concerns”: Human Trafficking, Education, Zimbabwe, France, Germany … and as leaders have risen up we have encouraged them to GO for it and help others engage in that “global concern” with them.
SO what is your “global concern”? Where do you want to make a difference in the world or for what cause?
Contact our Pastor of GO Ministries, Ian Stevenson and let him know your global concern: istevenson@thecrossing.com
Let him know where you are engaged globally.
Let him know if you have a heart to lead others into a global area of concern.
He would love to encourage you as you GO to show and share God’s love intentionally and prayerfully.
